Background- Perch Rock Lighthouse at mouth of River Mersey
I'm not sure about this one. It looks from the cutting as though John was going to build on one of two sites, either the Bank of England site or the opposite corner. However, Samuel Holme claimed in his autobiography to have been the builder and very convincing was his story. More research required.
