Tomkinson Construction was formed after the demise of the Tomkinson Group and carried out an increasing selection of jobs for a few years.
Hillbark looks lovely, doesn't it. We took it on as a project in 1995. Client checks all carried out- their bank was Lloyds. We spent over a million pounds (plus VAT) refurbishing it at high speed, whilst being told by our bank (Lloyds- same branch) that we would be paid. We got paid £100,000 or so in the end. I was told by the Bank of England Agent that he had been assured by a Director of Lloyds that we would be paid properly.
There's a moral there.

RIP
I should point out that the current owners of Hillbark had absolutely nothing to do with the scam perpetrated on us by John and Sheila Lamb - and the food and wine are excellent
