Background- Perch Rock Lighthouse at mouth of River Mersey




These little extracts ( more to come) are taken from the 1837-1847 ledger and show some of the things that struck me. I hope to put the whole database up when I have finished logging it, but that may take some time. I like the contrast between one house (Brickwork £65 and 8 cottages(brickwork £52)- why did Liverpool have so much terrible housing built so quickly?
